The aim of this agenda is to identify what exactly Artistic Research involves, how it may differ from Art itself, and the different ways it can most effectively be articulated.

The seminar is intended to help those engaged in high level artistic research to understand the processes they are involved in, to find ways to present their findings coherently and accessibly.
The seminar will examine the issues surrounding artistic:
• What is it - what are the different strands?
• How does artistic research differ from research in other disciplines?
• What is the relationship of art making to research
• What are artistic research methodologies?
• How is it recorded, and articulated?
• How do you present a proposal for artistic research?
• What are the different ways in which artistic research is presented?
• The relationship of writing/textual articulation to artefact
• How does artistic research add to knowledge in the field?
• How do you effectively disseminate artistic research findinK
