It was a joy to return to Bergen, Norway. Since my first visit in 2003 to study photogravure at KHIB, I have been flying back, for teaching and ongoing research with the support of Jan Pettersson (Head of Print at KHIO) and Rita Marhaug (Head of Print at KHIB).
This time, I spent eight days steeped in ferric chloride with the first year students, etching in the print studio at Kunstøgskolen i Bergen.
On Sunday Gro Petersen and I escaped into the hills to Fløyen. The city is becoming a second home and a glamorous one too. So fingers crossed for the Norwegian funding for the artist's book proposal at Trykkeriet, a unique editioning studio set up by Jan, Asbjørn and Daniel.
